Other than goodreads I don't know of any way to get organized without maybe making your own card catalog to put together your library at home. So I've been seriously considering this system, however I'd have to make my own so I've been putting it off.
This was fine for the times I didn't buy books. I have my TBR shelves and then the bookcase of books I've read. I will say if I could get these books from my local library I won't have half of them. It seemed easier at the time to buy them online then to go to a library an hour away and then have to drive back to return them. This is all a lot for the love of reading but I must say it was all well worth it. That said this all became a little overwhelming trying to save money by going to the library (I don't really believe personally in downloading books, for the reason of not having a device for this other than my laptop. Digital methods aren't my favorite way to read so I don't see paying for a nook and I don't want to download books)
That being said when I did give up on the library (for the most part) I started to order online and to my horrified surprise I had made a mistake that I never thought I'd make. I ordered a book that I already owned!! Now to someone who hasn't been in the this position before maybe find this a first world problem and it is. However, I have limited money for books as I'm sure most people do so this made me so upset and mad. So I've been looking into my collection the books I want, need, and don't have to have in my space.
So I found some people's old videos on this subject and I thought "Yes!! That's me, I want all the things in all the right places! Like a year ago!!" So until I can figure out my own at home card catalog I thought this would be a good way to get started. So I'm making a note of it here so I know that I have it lol. All these multi media sites are starting to get too much for me, but I hope this will be good. My libib is leafedpages.libib.com. :3
